Katz Community Center

The Katz Civic Center, originally called the Vincent’s Pond Field House, was built in 1956. It has since been remodeled and renamed in honor of Toby Katz the former long-time West Orange Councilwoman. During her distinguished career as an elected official she was a staunch advocate for the welfare of our Township’s senior citizens. Toby was a survivor of the Holocaust.

Operated by the West Orange Recreation Department, the site is located within Degnan Memorial Park at 650 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange, N.J. 07052.  The facility has two rooms available to the public. 

The Lake Room holds a maximum of one hundred and ten people. It has an outdoor patio equipped with three square picnic tables.

The Skate Room holds a maximum of forty people.

Use of both rooms for the same event carries an addition room surcharge.
