The West Orange Department of Health and Welfare is a full service public health agency providing a variety of services to our residents. This website is intended to assist our community to access information that will improve overall health and quality of life issues important to our daily lives.

Please choose one or all of the Division Information categories on the left to learn about each of the Divisions in the Health Department. Some of our more frequently used forms have been linked for your use, such as animal license application, marriage/civil union application, and the refuse collection guidelines. A directory of staff and contact numbers are also included.

The Health Department staff is available to speak with residents Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and will make every effort to assist you with your concerns or refer you to the proper department or agency.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY!

The West Orange Health Department is recruiting volunteers with medical credentials and non-medical volunteers to assist the Township during times of emergency. The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) has been established to maintain a list of trained people that may be called when staff is not sufficient to meet the needs of the community.
