Travel Lacrosse Team

The Recreation Department sponsors youth lacrosse teams for girls in grades 3 through 6 and for boys in grades in 3 through 8. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings and weekends. The team will participate in league and tournament play. The regular season runs from early March to early June. All equipment except for mouthpiece and stick are provided. All players are required to show proof of valid US Lacrosse membership each season. Registration for all teams is done through Community Pass.

Teams Offered

3rd & 4th Grade Girls - Team competes in the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association, which features a 10 game schedule against neighboring communities. The team will also compete in tournament play.  Upon initial registration each player will receive a pair of googles.  Players are strongly recommended to have their own stick.

5th & 6th Grade Girls - Team competes in the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association, which features a 10 game schedule against neighboring communities. The team will also compete in tournament play. Home games are held at Suriano Stadium, which recently had girls lacrosse lines installed. Upon initial registration each player will receive a pair of googles.  Players are strongly recommended to have their own stick.

Practices and home games are held at Suriano Stadium on the campus of West Orange High School. Players have the option to receive loaner equipment for use during the season. Players must provide their own stick and mouthpiece.
