The Office of Professional Responsibility (O.P.R.) consists of the following sub-units:

The Office of Professional Responsibility is a multi-faceted Division with diverse tasks and obligations. Our primary obligation includes supervision and management of the police department's Internal Affairs function, which is charged with maintaining the integrity of the agency. Other responsibilities include coordinating and directing the COMPSTAT process through the analysis of criminal and traffic related information to develop a more efficient and effective deployment of police personnel within our community. The O.P.R. division is also responsible for Staff Inspections within the agency as well as any legal affairs involving the agency and its members. Lastly, this division is tasked with conducting legal research, at the direction of the Police Chief.
