NOTICE FOR THE PUBLIC APPLICATION PROCESS FOR A MUNICIPAL TOWING CONTRACT
In accordance with the New Jersey Public Contracts Law, specifically N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1) (u), in
addition to the authority vested in the Township of West Orange (“Township”) pursuant to
N.J.S.A. 40:48-2.49 and Township Code Section 5-32, the Township hereby publishes this Notice of Public Application Process for Municipal Towing License (the “Application Process”). This application Process seeks any and all contractors and companies who can perform certain towing and storage services of abandoned and other vehicles within the Township. Subject to approval by the Township, any may obtain a license application at the Township’s Municipal Building, 66 Main Street, Room 111, West Orange, New Jersey 07052, Monday to Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or emailing your request to . There is a $200.00 non-refundable application fee. All applicants are subject to the General Licensing Procedures set forth in the Township of West Orange General Ordinances, Article V, specifically Township Code Section 5-32. The application due date is Thursday May 30, 2019 by 4:30 P.M. There will be a review period and all successful companies and contractors will be awarded a thirty-six (36) month contract and placed on a weekly rotation schedule for said services. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(u), this Application Process is expressly not subject to any bid or bidding process under the New Jersey Local Public Contract Laws.
