SOLID WASTE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICE FOR
WEST ORANGE PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND SCHOOL FACILITIES

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids must be submitted to the Purchasing Agent of the Township of West Orange, 66 Main Street, West Orange, New Jersey prior to May 31, 2018 at 3:30 P.M. All bids received will be opened and read by the Purchasing Agent or her designee, in Council Chambers, Township Hall, on the 31st day of May, 2018 at 3:30 P.M., prevailing time for the supplying of refuse and recycling collection service for the term or terms specified in the Refuse and Recycling Collection Services Specifications and/or for the Collection and Disposal of Solid Waste and Recycling for Schools and School Facilities dated March, 2018. No bids will be accepted after this time.
Said Refuse and Recycling Collection Services are to be rendered in accordance with the said Specifications which are on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent, and may be obtained any day from Monday to Friday inclusive, during normal working hours between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. prevailing time. The cost of Specifications is $75.00, which will be returned if a bid is submitted, and returned in good condition at the time of bidding. The Township Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities particularly set forth in said Specifications. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope endorsed with the name of the bidder and marked in accordance with the heading at the top of the Proposal and addressed to the Purchasing Agent of West Orange, New Jersey.
All actions taken by bidders shall be governed by the Specifications which are available as herein above set forth.
Bidders are required to comply with the Affirmative Action requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17.27. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bid Bond for 10 percent of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000.00.
A Pre-Bid Meeting for all prospective bidders is scheduled for April 24, 2018 at 3:30 P.M. in Council Chambers, at Township Hall, for the purpose of reviewing important information and answering questions.
