Liquor License Transfer
Detective Bureau Personnel are responsible for background investigations of persons attempting to obtain liquor license transfer. These investigations include background inquires, fingerprinting and obtaining documents and completed applications for review by the local Alcohol Beverage Control Board.
Process Canvassing / Soliciting Permits
When instructed by the chief of police, the bureau conducts background investigations on applicants for canvassing / soliciting permits and obtain the required documentation and fingerprints as necessary. This information will be forwarded to different governmental agencies as required.
Bagatelle & Amusement Game Permits
This bureau conducts the appropriate investigations for applications of permits for Bagatelle and Amusement Games. This requires obtaining a diagram of the premises in question as well a background investigation and a physical visit to the applicant site to determine if such site complies with local requirements.
