Juvenile Aid Bureau

Bureau Goals

The goals of the Juvenile Aid Bureau are:

  • Respect our youths as contributing members of our community and ensure that their rights are protected
  • Provide intervention services
  • Make ourselves available to the juvenile in crises
  • Provide a safe environment where our youths feel free to express themselves
  • Provide alternatives in order to promote individuality while simultaneously promoting an attitude of community responsibility

Attaining Goals

To attain these goals, the Juvenile Aid Bureau espouses an eclectic approach toward conflict resolution, taking into consideration a wide range of social services available and the utilization of the formal educational system. The most effective form of prevention is through education and early intervention. To this end, the bureau provides educational programs to all groups within the community.
