Follow Your Bus with the Passio GO App

Letter To all Jitney Riders,

Monday, July 10TH, The Township of West Orange will be testing a new Jitney tracking and communication system known as Passio Go. Riders will be able to track their bus and see when the bus will be arriving at their scheduled stop. You will also be able to communicate with the Jitney Administration with questions and/or concerns regarding the Jitney service.

The Jitney Administration will be able to send alerts to Riders in real time on any last-minute changes to the Route’s schedule due to road closures, weather related closures, etc.

Our goal is to make sure Jitney Riders can receive alerts in a timely manner and are able to communicate with us should any problems arise. The current texting app will no longer be used, the new system will be replacing it. Once we feel comfortable that this new system is working as it should, we will also no longer be utilizing the Jitney Facebook page as it is not a very accurate or reliable way of communicating with the Riders. Not to worry, we will allow some time to make sure the new system is working properly before this takes place. The Jitney Administration will post in advance when the Jitney Facebook page will no longer be monitored.

We appreciate your patience and understanding, and thank you in advance for your cooperation while we make this transition. We are hoping this new system will be a more efficient way of tracking and communicating. We will be testing this new system until we can be sure it is working properly, please be patient and let us know if you encounter any issues with this system. We can be reached via email at mthompson@westorange.org or hhart@westorange.org, also by phone at 973-325-4134.

Attached please find a flyer below with a QR code. Please download to your phone and follow instructions to sign up and start utilizing the new system.

Sincerely,
Jitney Administration
