West Orange, NJ provides free Jitney service to 3 different train stations. The NJ Transit Midtown-Direct train line
is only minutes away, bringing riders straight to New York’s Penn Station. The town provides free jitney service to Orange, South Orange, and Brick Church stations. The Jitney runs in the mornings from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM.

Follow Your Bus with the Passio GO App
To All Jitney Riders,
Starting Thursday, February 1, 2024, The Township of West Orange will officially launch the new Jitney tracking and communication system, Passio Go. Passengers who utilize the Passio Go system can more efficiently track their bus and see when it will arrive at their scheduled stop. Passio Go's benefits include alerting passengers in real-time with any last-minute changes to the route's schedule due to road closures, weather-related closures, or other unanticipated events. Please note that the West Orange Jitney Facebook page will be discontinued effective February 1, 2024.
The Township of West Orange appreciates your patience and understanding and thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation during this transition. Passengers can ask the transportation administrators questions and express concerns regarding the Jitney service.
